Mike's Bikes opened in 1987 in downtown Charleston as a college bike shop by Mike Keck specializing in repairs and used bikes.

The Shop quickly grew in size from its 400 square foot location near The Market to King Street, after Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and then onto Wentworth Street supported by locals and college students.

Mike being an expert mechanic with a passion for cycling as transportation, off-road riding, BMX and skateboard enthusiast, and recreational road bike rider, grew the shop to its current two locations, just outside of city limits.  Our Charleston SC bike shop is over 4500 square feet stocking all of your cycling needs.
